blitzing the binays

05 July 2015

on august 20, just 45 days from now, it will be a whole year that the senate blue ribbon subcommittee has been investigating, pounding on, the binays, father and son, for alleged corruption and other sins.  the hearing on july 8 will be the 22nd.  in numerology 22 is the most powerful of numbers, for good or ill.

“We will come out with something very interesting. It will show the character of the (Binay) family.” Trillanes said it is important for the public to know how the Vice President and his family really are so they would be able to make a better judgment in the 2016 elections.

well, at least di na nagpapanggap ang trying-hard triumvirate that this is all in aid of legislation.  trillanes practically admits that this is all in aid of changing the minds of voters who support vp binays bid for the presidency, obviously in aid of improving the prospects of other wanna-bids.  basta the mantra seems to be: anyone but binay.  hmm.  i wonder if that applies to bongbong as well.

i get it naman, this picking on the binays to knock the vp out of the race, and decisively.  but why is it taking forever?  it took them just six months to impeach and pronounce chief justice corona guilty.  maybe impeachment was the way to go?  or talaga namang walang ebidensiya that would stand up in an impeachment court?  or marami palang binay supporters sa lower house so speaker belmonte did not even want to try?

but what truly grates is that natabunan na lang ang PDAF, DAP, mamasapano, MRT, at kung anoano pa, no thanks to media.  worse, cayetano, pimentel, and trillanes don’t really inspire confidence in the rightness of their cause, being themselves not beyond reproach, correct me if i’m wrong.

“Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Tuesday insisted that the ongoing Senate blue ribbon subcommitteee hearing on the corruption charges against Vice President Jejomar Binay is in aid of legislation, even as it seeks to expose the ways Binay and his family allegedly abuse their power in Makati.”

trillanes is nothing but consistent on this, believe him or not.

Walang selective justice dito. Lumabag sila sa batas face the consequences.

MRT is a spider web of companies, holding companies, partnerships at kung anu-ano pa. Expertise yan ng Fil-Estate. Maski yun John Hay ganyan, hindi ma-untangle. So kung gusto niyo makakita ng solusyon sa MRT, just take it away from the private owners, nationalize it. But be prepared for the consequences.

Walang claim ng executive privilege o kahit man lang gumamit ng spurious claim tulad ng ginawa ni Binay about “protecting the dignity of the office of the vice president”.

That is why IT is taking forever.

Maraming ebidensya laban kay Binay that will stand up in court. Pati yun mga dating mga kasong nalusutan niya ay matibay ang ebidensya kaya nga nakalusot siya not because he was able to refute the evidence but because of technicalities. Lahat ng abswelto o dismissal na pinanalo niya ay on technicalities and not absence or insufficiensy of proof.

Trillanes, Cayetano, Pimentel or anyone else does not have to be pure to prosecute someone else for a crime the prosecutor was not personally involved in. “He who is without sin” does not apply here….the boxing term “protect yourself at all times” is what applies to anyone who ventures into electoral politics, for any public servant who decides to break the law kasi sa larangan na yan laging meron titira sa kanila.

Binay is being hounded because he is a crook, because not going after a crook who is a personal friend of th Aquinos would lend credence to the selective justice red herring. Kailan susulat yan columnist asking for lrnirncy to GMA and the three senators?
