fretting over marcos burial

08 August 2016

while fretting (and getting a headache) over news of preparations to bury marcos sa libingan ng mga bayani this coming september, i checked out my blog archives and found this post of june 2011, burying marcos, when president aquino reportedly sent vp binay to ilocos to settle once and for all the matter of the former dictator’s burial.  and this, escudero, marcos, libingan ng mga bayani, of september 2015, when vp-wannabe chiz proved very much the son of a marcos man.  ito muna.

Pres FVR allowed the return of Marcos’ body on the following conditions (1) the body would be brought directly to Ilocos (2) Marcos would receive honors befitting an army major (3) He would be buried immediately

I would assume the Marcos family agreed to FVR’s conditions.

Now I’d like to see FVR remind du30 about that agreement

boom, parang they agreed to FVR’s terms para lang makauwi, ano? pero libingan ng mga bayani talaga ang ultimate goal. is it purely a whim of the imeldific one, and her whim is law, or will it help kasi their pending cases, this “pagkilala” as “bayani” … i swear nakakasakit ng ulo.

ang left lang? what about the coryistas mismo who ousted him in 86? that ouster loses historical significance if he is buried as hero.

Coryista lang ba ang Edsa? The way I understood it was Cory was the compromise candidate, the only one all the opposition groups could agree upon. She didn’t come charging on a white horse from Boston to save the Philippines. People were so fed up with the dictatorship they just wanted to unite behind someone. Diba yung mga naging RJ sumakay kasi dun sa people power at the possibility of a non violence? Coryista ba sila? Si JPE, Honasan, at RAM, Corysita din ba? Hindi pa umiinit ang upuan e naglabasan na ang splits among the “Coryistas” ng Edsa, diba?

Ang kaliwa ang pinakamaraming biktima among all those who opposed the dictatorship. That cannot be denied. Lahat ba ng naging dating pangulo ay gumawa ng systematic campaign of oppression and torture against the citizenry and specially against the left?

mga manang, LOL. pero tama ka naman about the “coryistas” and about the kaliwa.
