in over his head

after a year of hardly any change, as opposed to the CHANGE! that the candidate aquino promised, i am actually looking forward to having mar roxas in the palace, not necessarily for policy changes (imposible na yata) but at least for a sense of things moving.  no matter what the president and his cabinet and his communications people say, there is just too much talk, from different sources,  about the short work hours the prez keeps, and the impatience with paper work, and the lack of vision.  looks like he bit off more than he can chew.  (this should teach us voters a lesson.  pag sinabi ng kandidato na kaya niya, wag tayo maniwala agad.)  so now he needs a troubleshooter, and why not.  at least umaamin siya na parating may trouble na kailangang i-shoot.  as for the troubles everyone is predicting will arise between mar and executive secretary ochoa, well, kung magaling talaga si mar, kaya rin niya dapat yon i-shoot.

as far as i can tell, its maceda and tulfo who wrote na tamad si Pnoy. first of all, is this “too much”? (B0 is just repeating what they said). do they really know what they are talking about? do these people always tell the truth?

  2. sabi ni Tulfo, si Noynoy daw is ‘so unlike’ his predecessors, Fidel Ramos and Gloria Arroyo blah, blah, blah…..

    Haaaaaayyy, salamat, mabuti na lang.

Yep, they voted for non-corrupt and that’s what they got, nothing more. I had no illusions at all. Hopefully the people themselves will take the initiative (though it’s not the masses job to take the initiative but the elite in government), given a non-corrupt leader, who, we assume, will protect our constitutional rights at least.

The Makati Business Club has the president they want, because what they wanted — no change -is what is. “No tax increase” means no changes. NEDA policies from GMA years still guide Pilipinas. This “daang matuwid” via RATS/RATES is same-oh from GMA years (except better computers from Millenium Challenge).

The only econ-change (in sentiment, not in actual changes to laws) is land-reform, and hacienda-LUISITA (and other landowners) really are happy with He-Who-Is-The-Chosen-One.

    Vrooommm-vvvrooomm…

Former Senate President Ernesto Maceda on Thursday alleged that a group of influential businessmen allied with the present administration is now implementing a “master plan” to take over big businesses when President Arroyo steps down in 2010. “We became aware of the master plan to takey over huge businesses and they are now implementing it against Meralco and Petron, among others.” Maceda told a news conference. He said it was the businessmen’s retirement plan.’

so did this happen? is maceda correct?

i mean, before we believe what these people are saying, if they dont present evidence, we should AT LEAST look into their track record.

if not, its just chismis. why support/propagate chismis?
