SONA as farce

farce. a comic dramatic piece that uses highly improbable situations, stereotyped characters, extravagant exaggeration, and violent horseplay. The term also refers to the class or form of drama made up of such compositions. Farce is generally regarded as intellectually and aesthetically inferior to comedy in its crude characterizations and implausible plots, but it has been sustained by its popularity in performance and has persisted throughout the Western world to the present.  http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/201791/farce

  1. Sad. I don’t get it. The Philippines has been beaten down throughout her history, and now that she is emerging as a respected global player, you call this important democratic checkpoint a farce. You beat her back down.

Ben, I understand. He has his own issues.

But a patriotic Filipino who has ridden through the various political storms? Incredible.

    • Measuring Pinoy’s accomplishment ia like seeing a half-full glass of water as half empty. Considering 9ys. of GMA’s history of institutional corruption, 3yrs of Pinoy cleansing the bureaucracy is too short to have a major and radical change in economic and social structure in which govt services must be delivered. There is a modicom of attitudinal change from a corrupt leader but this hasnt weighed down to the bureaucratic level to instill accountability because of the secular notion “the end justifies the means”. A wrong intrepretation of the Christian Catholic values “we are just but humans and God forgives 7 times 7”.

This president is not so bad and I didn’t even vote for him.

This isn’t a farce but a simple moral tale? When the prez is honest, the filipinos will do the rest. A few more terms with an honest prez!
